DESCRIPTION:Gaps in education and training have contributed to disparities in the dermatologic and aesthetic treatment of patients with skin of color. \nSkin of Color Update is committed to changing that. The goal of our conference is two-fold: first\, to educate dermatology clinicians and trainees to best ​diagnose and treat dermatologic disorders in populations with skin of color\, including those that disproportionately affect higher skin phototypes. Second\, we strive to educate clinicians and trainees to best treat the aesthetic needs of patients with skin of color. \nIn providing the latest updates on diagnostic\, therapeutic\, and cosmetic treatment best practices for dermatologic conditions in populations with skin of color\, our conference equips practitioners to deliver safe\, effective\, and culturally competent care to a diverse patient population. \nWe recognize that there are nuances in the clinical presentation and optimal approach to treatment of many dermatologic conditions in skin of color and have been sharing practical pearls and the latest advances from the leading experts in the field for over a decade. Our program covers the broad range of inflammatory\, pigmentary\, and hair disorders that are prevalent in patients with skin of color\, as well as safe approaches to aesthetic procedures in patients with darker skin pigmentation.

DESCRIPTION:One of the world’s only conferences featuring plastic surgery\, facial plastic surgery\, dermatology and oculoplastic surgery. \nThe Global Aesthetics Conference (GAC) was created by Dr. S Randolph Waldman to bring together Key Opinion Leaders from the four core aesthetic specialties – Facial Plastic Surgery\, Dermatology\, Plastic Surgery\, and Oculoplastic Surgery – in a collegial and apolitical environment. It is the only true multispecialty event in the world that is not organized under the banner of a large corporate entity. \nDr. Waldman has now organized over 50 major conferences. These physicians integrate the clinical information with microscopic observations of the biopsy from the patient to provide diagnostic information to the treating physician. Dermatopathology is a consultative service to the referring dermatologist and not simply a laboratory test. The accurate microscopic interpretation of the biopsy is important in the selection of appropriate therapies.
