42nd Annual NAAF Conference

For many people living with alopecia areata, the hardest part isn’t just the hair loss. It’s feeling alone. The annual National Alopecia Areata Foundation (NAAF) Conference was created to change that. For more than four decades, it has brought together people with alopecia areata, their families and the experts who support them for a weekend of learning, connection and community.
What to Expect
The conference features sessions led by researchers, counselors, community voices and wig and makeup professionals, organized around four areas:
- Treatments and Research: the latest updates on therapies and what’s next in alopecia areata research
- Education and Empowerment: building confidence and tools for living well with alopecia areata
- Wigs and Camouflage: practical guidance on hair pieces, makeup and other options
- Parents and Family: support for parents and loved ones navigating a diagnosis together
Attendees can also join support groups and social activities throughout the weekend, making lasting connections with others who truly understand.
Youth Camp
NAAF’s Youth Camp gives children with alopecia areata, along with their siblings ages 5 to 17, a fun and supportive space of their own during the conference.
