Skin Cancer Foundation Gala
May 13

Our 2025 Champions for Change Gala was a tremendous success, raising $810,000 to support our lifesaving educational campaigns, community programs and research initiatives.
We were delighted to recognize La Roche-Posay as the Champions for Change Gala honoree and celebrate their long-standing partnership and commitment to the Foundation’s mission. We were pleased to present our Media Impact Award to HealthCentral for its commendable work collaborating with the Foundation on its “Skin Cancer in Skin of Color” awareness campaign. And we were honored to give special recognition to our volunteer Photobiology Committee for guiding the Foundation in establishing new standards for our Seal of Recommendation program.
We are grateful for the phenomenal efforts of our Gala Committee, led by co-chairs April Franzino and Stephanie and Adam Schweitzer, our physician co-chairs Elizabeth K. Hale, MD, Julie K. Karen, MD, Jesse M. Lewin, MD, and Ariel Ostad, MD, and honorary chair Marcia Robbins-Wilf, EdD.
Once again, our wonderful Gala Committee went above and beyond; thank you to Steve Alperin, Kim Campbell, Ian Michael Crumm, Michelle Henry, MD, Alexis Holder, Susan Manber, Blair Murphy-Rose, MD, Kim M. Nichols, MD, Ana Prodanovic, Kathy Sabine, Maral K. Skelsey, MD, Susan Small, Tyler Steele, Mary L. Stevenson, MD, Catherine Strange Warren, Jane Y. Yoo, MD.
Finally, a sincere thank you to Christie Brinkley for hosting our event and sharing her skin cancer story, and to two-time Grammy nominee, Martha Wash, for a powerful performance that got us all out on the dance floor!
